U.S. to Investigate Intellectual Property Violations in China

The United States is slated to announce an investigation into the violations of American intellectual property by China. The U.S. and China have the largest trading relationship in the world, though there are still many tensions. There are a number of different issues that the U.S. seems to have with the trade practices of the Chinese. Though the investigation has not officially been announced, it is expected to be tomorrow.

The plan is to begin the investigation within the next few days and conduct it over the course of several months. There is a lot of suspicion regarding infringement, theft of trade secrets, and a lot of pirated products and counterfeit goods. Copyright infringement is a serious crime and should not be taken lightly. It will be interesting to see what is revealed throughout the investigation and what repercussions come of it.

Some of the other concerns found in the investigation include issues regarding steel imports and China’s plans to become a “world leader” in technology.
